		For us, its founders, Timeout is a labour of love for travel and nature, that was born on a chilly, starlit night, high up in Kumaon. There are six of us, comprising a mix of different race, age, gender and occupation, singularly devoted to the idea of travelling by road and exploring offbeat destinations. Timeout's three active partners are Iona Sinha, Monimita Sarkar and Jon B Wade.
	Jon, formerly Professor Jonathan Blake Wade, was born to English parents in the very Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. He taught English Literature to college students for twenty years, before creating a highly successful conference management company, KW Conferences. He travels extensively and is a walking, talking Lonely Planet on India. Moni is an expert in hospitality logistics, having cut her teeth in hotel and venue management in KW conferences. Married, with a son and daughter, Moni manages to whisk her family off to exotic destinations as often as she can. Iona interrupted what might have been a promising career in communication, and embarked on the alternative pursuits of marital and maternal joys. Not bound by a conventional job, Iona fully indulges her passion for travel.
